At Costa Rica Rent & Transfer, we understand that travel plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be clear, fair, and transparent for all our customers.

This policy applies to vehicle rentals, including golf carts, motorcycles, and private transfers, as well as other services booked through Costa Rica Rent & Transfer, unless otherwise specified.

High Season Cancellation Policy
(November 30 – May 1)

During high season, reservations may be cancelled according to the following conditions:

- Free Cancellation

Customers may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 5 days before the scheduled start date or service date.

- Cancellation Within 48 Hours

For cancellations made within 48 hours before the scheduled start date or service date, the customer will receive a 50% refund of the amount paid.

- Cancellation Within 24 Hours

For cancellations made within 24 hours before the scheduled start date or service date, the reservation is non-refundable.

- No-Show

In case of no-show, the reservation is considered confirmed and used.
No refund will be issued.

Low Season Cancellation Policy
(May 1 – November 30)

During low season, reservations may be cancelled according to the following conditions:

- Free Cancellation

Customers may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled start date or service date.

- Cancellation Within 48 Hours

For cancellations made within 48 hours before the scheduled start date or service date, the customer will receive a 70% refund of the amount paid.

- No-Show

In case of no-show, the reservation is considered confirmed and used.
No refund will be issued.

Early Returns

No refunds are provided for vehicles returned earlier than the agreed rental period, unless otherwise approved by Costa Rica Rent & Transfer.

Flight Delays & Private Transfers

For airport transfers, we monitor the customer’s flight whenever flight details are provided in advance.

If the flight is delayed, we will do our best to adjust the pick-up time accordingly at no extra cost, depending on availability.

If the customer does not show up at the agreed pick-up location and does not contact us, the service will be considered a no-show and no refund will be issued.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible.

Please note that bank fees, card fees, payment platform fees, or transfer fees may be deducted from the refunded amount.

Refund processing times may vary depending on the bank, card provider, or payment platform.

Reservation Changes

Customers may request changes to their reservation date, time, vehicle, or service.

All changes are subject to availability and must be requested as soon as possible.

Costa Rica Rent & Transfer will always do its best to assist customers, but last-minute changes cannot be guaranteed.
