If you are exploring the area by golf cart, the practical option is to reach Brasilito, park there and continue to Playa Conchal on foot along the beach.

If you are traveling by motorbike, you have another option: reaching Playa Conchal from the Puerto Viejo side.

Why Playa Conchal Is So Special

How to Get to Playa Conchal from Potrero and Flamingo

This is probably the most important practical information in this guide.

There are two different ways we recommend considering, depending on whether you are traveling by golf cart or motorbike.

They are not the same route.

Getting to Playa Conchal by Golf Cart: Via Brasilito

If you are exploring the area with a golf cart, head toward Playa Brasilito.

Once you arrive in Brasilito, park your golf cart in the town center.

From there, continue on foot along the beach toward Playa Conchal.

The walk normally takes around 10–15 minutes, depending on your pace and beach conditions.

This means you should plan your visit as:

Potrero / Flamingo → Brasilito by golf cart → park → walk along the beach → Playa Conchal.

It is a simple way to visit Conchal while also experiencing Brasilito, and it works particularly well if you are staying around Playa Potrero or Playa Flamingo.

Important for Golf Cart Travelers

Do not plan your day assuming that the golf cart will take you directly onto Playa Conchal.

Park in Brasilito and complete the final part of the journey on foot.

Bring everything you need for the beach with you before starting the walk — especially water, sunscreen, towels and anything you may need during your stay at Conchal.

Getting to Playa Conchal by Motorbike: Via Puerto Viejo

If you are exploring Guanacaste by motorbike, there is another option.

You can reach the Playa Conchal area from the Puerto Viejo side.

This gives motorbike travelers an alternative to arriving through Brasilito and walking along the beach.

For visitors who want to explore several places around Potrero, Flamingo, Brasilito and Conchal, traveling by motorbike can offer additional flexibility.

As always in Guanacaste, especially during the rainy season, road conditions can change. Check the current conditions before leaving and ride according to the road and weather conditions you encounter.

What to Do at Playa Conchal

Once you arrive, Playa Conchal is a place where you can keep things simple. Depending on ocean and weather conditions, you can enjoy swimming, relaxing by the shore, walking along the beach, taking photos or snorkeling when conditions are suitable.

Give yourself enough time to enjoy the beach without constantly checking the clock.

Golf Cart and Scooter Rental Around Potrero and Flamingo

Choosing the right vehicle depends on how you want to explore the area.

A 4-seat or 6-seat golf cart is ideal for couples, families and groups staying around Potrero, Surfside and Flamingo. A motorbike offers greater flexibility for individual travelers or couples who want to explore farther along the coast.

For Playa Conchal, remember:

Golf Cart → Brasilito → park → 10–15 minute walk along the beach
